I grabbed the above image from a bulletin board at a community college. It made me go wtfffffff and fill with a rage that could only be properly expelled in one way.
Speaking of such an exciting weekend, how could I ever hope to cover everything in just one post? I probably won't ever cover everything that happened, even with me moblogging the significant events as they unfolded. I got a lot of perspective, to be certain. Unfortunately, no one wanted to try the methylene blue. More for me, I guess.
My host is an interesting fellow. Or is that was because he is no longer my host? That makes for an excellent segue: he is an english major with a high school drama background and a religious fervor, although technically agnostic, I believe. I don't wish to reveal his dox or I'd just link to his Myspace page, but the point is as a formerly Mormon bandgeek (on both accounts for the most part), we ran in different circles in high school and didn't become friends until senior year when we were thrust into a mandated reading group as part of the school's silly attempt to boost test scores. Eventually we went on zany adventures trying to get jobs as Elves in a Santa display and misadventures to numerous to name, tied by the common bond that we can't hardly get some. No one gets that reference, but it was the original title of this blog; it's still listed in my favorites under that name. In any case, I was the newest of his high school friends invited (many of whom I hadn't even realized I went to high school with at all!) and I often set up an antagonistic dynamic with people, especially people I like. I don't know why I'm always such a douche bag and see no reason to justify or rationalize it at the current time. The point is, I fell somewhere between observer and outsider. It was interesting. The offer of methylene blue probably didn't help any either. Oh well.
I'm going to end this post earlier than I had anticipated because I've realized I don't have anything productive to express at this moment. I told myself I'd work on one of my finals tonight, but it probably won't happen. I'll blame DST.

The Ultimate Showdown
I should be doing homework right now, but I need
a breather. The assignment is to review 3 independent games, and some
of them are just awful. I just played one inspired by The Ultimate Showdown,
titled The Ultimate Showdown, and it was far from ultimate. I'm
listening to the song to flush it out of my system. It's a catchy song.
I enjoy it. It's no Chocolate Rain, but that song is amazing in it's depth and breadth.
Now I'm listening to that. Oh, the circles!
Anyways,
I was put in an awkward situation today. I missed a (nonexistant) memo
for a group project and was the only one to show up at the scheduled
time. The distance alone caused me considerable lamantation!
Exclaimation! I'm typing fast, because it's interesting or is
it..whatever. Angels cry and shake their heads in shame! So catchy!
Anyways,
I hadn't read all the reading but figured it would be better to just
show up with some rather than none. I get there, no one else has come,
or will, and his roommates are there in the living room and I'm all,
hey, what's up, trying to not show my discomfort around new people.
Turns out, they weren't that new (well, the baby they had was new,
newish) Babys are awkward. I just smile at them when they look at me.
What am I supposed to say, cute baby, even with all that drool and
face-goop? Oh, look, your child is playing with hazardous objects. I'm
not there to play with the baby.
After a while, my group-mate's
room-mate asks me what high school I went to. Apparently, they were
familiar with it and some people I knewish. I mean, some are still on
my internet friends lists, but when will I see these people? Who knows!
Do you know a Brandon? I know a Brandon. Brandon Stark?
No, I know a Justin Stark. And then it turned out that I knew one of
his room-mates through Justin, who knows everyone, and that she had
actually talked to me before on Aim. It was weird. Super-weird. I am
super-weirded out by my peers having offspring (which was very common
in idaho), but I'm superweirded out by everything. I think that's
enough for now.
Seriously, totally tripped me out, like some minor character making an appearance like 5 seasons later. OR FOR THE SERIES FINALE... ZOMG WTF!!!

Packing
I was searching for some misplaced items when I was struck with disappointment. Not for my break, which could be considered disappointing, and came very close to be so, but is currently not considered such by myself, but rather in my family. Yesterday I went to a movie with Chris and he brought some friends to whom I am an acquaintance, which was enjoyable except during the time we lacked direction and the initial awkwardness of being in the house of someone I hardly know. We played Super Smash Brothers, which I am nominal in and will forever remain without such a constitution to support the rigorous training required to meet the skills of such players and I doubt I will ever have peers who are not of that status because who else, and why else, would someone own a Game Cube? Such proficiency is often unimpressive in the knowledge of its requisites, worsened by the un-obscured nature of such sacrifices.
At points, both before and during, we wondered what we should do. It was only because of Kirsten's suggestion that we managed to find anything at all. I find it difficult to entertain at home because of the nature of my family's sanitation. It is quite dismal. My room, which has not been organized in roughly a year, is one of the tidier sections, no doubt because its small size prevents a total saturation of sewage. Aside from that, which people seem to grow accustomed to, to our chagrin, there lies the problem of entertainment, apart from our own antics. But as I was searching I realized that there really is a lot to do here for entertainment. Or rather, there was. An air hockey table, dart board, and foosball table all lie derelict in our "Recreation Room," colloquially adapted to "Rec Room," pronounced (and functioning) as "wreck room". Realizing this made me sad. Luckily, I don't have many friends left here. One of the last ones left today for Russia. I hope the cat lasts another year;it's become a friend, even though it jumps on me and rips my pants. Until I get fleas, it's welcome to sit on my lap and purr.
Whoa. That is weird. Ethan just crawled into the green chair planted firmly in the center of the wreck room and appears to be asleep. I did not see him enter the room; alerted instead by audition. Did he sleep walk to slumber elsewhere? Does he do this often? I have never before witnessed it, but there is a disposition for unconscious oddities in our family. I have been known to sleep with my eyes open (quite painful when they dry out) and reportedly talk and snore, none of which are exclusive to me. I have uncles who have attended late birthday parties, even eating cake, with no recollection, apparently asleep. This claim, however suspect, is often reported at family gatherings. The light is on too. How odd. I don't know when I'll get to sleep, maybe not at all. I'm not ready to go back, or ever really was. I will relent from lamenting. I need to pack...
