Pillowtalk

I was going to get my exgirlfriend an apron that said "The cake is a lie" for Christmas, because I'd like to imagine that we're still friends, though we probably aren't so much. But since she did not want to take the copy of Portal I had made for her, that joke wouldn't make sense. This one would though:

Disconcerting

I'm not sure why, but this really bothers me. I find it unsettling. I don't watch Dancing with the Stars, but they were talking about it today on The Rick Emerson Show and several calls made an effort to affirm their affection for this woman. I decided to see what all the fuss was about on Wikipedia. Why does it affect me? I get that same faith-failing feeling I've been getting so often lately. I can't explain it; it feels like nothing is certain, perhaps everything is untrue. What if this isn't italics? Nothing makes sense. I'm burnt out and disillusioned. Life is wonderful.

Julianne Hough - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hough was engaged to Zach Wilson and originally planned to marry on August 8, 2007 in an LDS (Mormon) temple, but has postponed her marriage. Zach Wilson since has listed his profile as single on his MySpace site. She has also been romantically linked with Kevin Connolly of Entourage fame, who recently gave her a diamond ring and admitted that he is "actively pursuing" Julianne, although Julianne denies a romantic relationship.

The release date has been the subject of massive speculation, but as of November 23, 2007, Electronic Arts has maintained its tentative Spring 2008 release date.[5] On October 24, 2007, Wright stated that Spore was in a fully-playable build, and would be ready in roughly six months.[6]

I don't know how I'm going to argue this

I'm supposed to argue something like "On balance, violent video games are bad (for children)" or something similar, I can't recall the exact wording, which will probably be important in some way. I have no idea how I'm going to argue a point I wholly disagree with. I picked a short straw.

Kid Nation on CBS
The Town Council bans Taylor from having fun in Bonanza, and when her friends start bragging about all the good times they are having without her, Taylor has a surprising reaction. Sophia steams when Blaine shirks his cooking duties to become a pool shark and gamble his buffalo nickels. There's a new sheriff in town after the Council expresses the need for a law enforcer. Guess who...?

It's hard to admit we don't have anything in common anymore. We don't have the same interests or goals. I listen to NPR, you listen to Eldar. You bake delicious cake, I know that the cake is a lie. We don't really have any mutual friends to draw us together, and I seemed to have lost most of mine by attrition. Hell, I think my roommates had liked you more than me. I wouldn't have blamed them, either. My family is now more interesting to you than me, although they are always on their best behavior when you come to visit. You'll probably never read this; no one reads this. I miss things. Just as I type this, this song comes on. Then someone changed the station.

Kid Nation

This is the episode I've been waiting for. A new "town council" turns everything upside down! They are so incompetent, with the exemption of Green, who has always out shown the others. If I recall correctly, all the new council members are gold star winners. It's interesting how quickly DK changed once he gained power, becoming more like Greg and Blaine when he was much more like previously very similar to Guylan, with whom he confided. The Wikipedia article has been locked due to vandalism. I'm going to stop blogging about the show and just watch it.

I can't believe

I used to do this every night?! I can hardly believe it. I took 25mg, which is 5mg higher than any dose I ever took (at once); I feel like I'm going to die. But that feeling (or is it the fear of death?) undulates. My heart pounding, joints burning, mouth dry and jaws clenched. I'd forgotten what it was like. I think I made the right decision. I don't care for these side effects much, although I don't mind the clarity, euphoria, and placebo confidence. I don't consider this experience to be anything against my streak, because it is not being used to augment myself but is instead a more recreational undertaking. I've also noticed a slightly diminished sex drive. I had never noticed that side effect before; it was the norm. Not that having sex is anywhere on my agenda.

Grid Wars is a lot more fun when you're jazzed. I played for like 2 hours straight, which is braggable.

Its 4.30 am. I should probably at least feign sleep. I don't need a relapse to bring any more disappointments? Damn it! I just added a misspelling of disappointment to the dictionary. Fouled dictionaries are another topic I should address at some point. I struggle putting sentences together at 4am, no matter my condition. I surrender my words to you, Blogger.

XR

I don't know why my sisters seem so adverse to medication. In a moment of weakness, I took one of my sisters 25mg Adderall XR and it is awesome. I feel like my old self again. Since I took it at 7:30, I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. But that's fine, it's a long weekend. There was some fallout today, but I will discuss that later. I am disappointed that there is not a new episode of Boston Legal tonight, perhaps because of the writers' strike, but I cannot be sure. In any case, House was awesome. It actually was lupus, of which there are many varieties. I am blood type O+, just so you know.

I don't recommend sticking an entire roll of Fruit By The Foot in your mouth at once, even if it is the usually delicious Berry Tye Die. It is usually extremely delicious, but I almost spewed when I tried this. I've been almost throwing up a lot lately; actually did throw up last week. I'm not sick; well, I'm not ill. I have these two essays to write and I can't decide how or what to do, similar to the midterm last week that had me vomiting. Ugh. I'm all frizzle-frazzle. What's the point? I've already failed.

Be sure to quote Jack Thompson for the lulz

Trust no one

Conclusion: While the primary parts of the story were the
same, such as who was involved and the reactions from each side, were largely
the same from source to source, subtle differences emerged between each piece. The
divergence between sources was startling and best and troubling at worst. With
the very numbers differing between sources, although this is possibly due to
differences in time of publication and verification rather than an issue of
journalistic inaccuracy, it makes the informed reader question what the truth
truly is, and who really holds control of it. The amount of people gathered for
this event varies up to one hundred thousand individuals, not a small number,
with a similar, through smaller, variance in the number injured. When one story
is highlighted as a feature for evening news, what other stories were omitted
to make way? Who decides what content to broadcast and to whom do they answer?
Which biases go unnoticed when this information is withheld? The answer seems
clear: trust no one.

Ok, so I'm not really going to end it that way, but I thought it'd be fun

Procrastination follies

The story I chose to comment upon for my political science class unfortunately occurred after the newspapers were in circulation, but late enough that by the time I finally got around to doing the project, it was already tomorrow in the Middle East. Now I can't remember for the life of me whether you underline or italicize the names of newspapers. Do they classify as journals or magazines in the citation machine? How late will I be up tonight? I really should learn how to print things in the school library instead of just taking naps in there.

Viacom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In June, Viacom announced its purchase of Neopets, a virtual pet website. That December, Paramount announced it would acquire DreamWorks. All indications are that the whole of DreamWorks - both live-action film and TV studios, albeit not the DreamWorks archive - which was sold to a group led by George Soros in March 2006 - (nor the animated unit, which was not part of the deal) will remain owned by Viacom, even though CBS acquired Paramount's own TV studio.

From the wikipedia page about the strike:
The strike is against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), a trade organization that represents the interests of American film and television producers. Over 12,000 writers will be affected by the strike.[2] The last such strike was the 1988 Writers Guild of America strike; it lasted 22 weeks, costing the American entertainment industry an estimated 500 million dollars.[3]

Weighted Companion Cube on Ebay

I wish I was a dinosaur

Teeth and Dreams

I had a weird dream last night. I'm not sure how to describe it. It is beyond reality, as most dreams are.

Do your dreams ever persist into the waking world? This one has. I feel
like I need to floss. I already have today, several times, but the
feeling remains. I'll try again soon.

I have considered describing this dream, but it is an impossibility. It
is too strange. It involved a date with an old acquaintance--whom is hot
as balls, but I've known her forever and would be like dating my
cousin--and some sort of theater showing a kids movie which we were
asked to leave for impugning the ability of others to enjoy the feature
and some objects akin to dental tools getting stuck in my teeth.

Yesterday, I, along with countless others, were asked to leave the
library for reasons unspecified. I was quite perturbed, as well as
confused by the entire situation. I wrote the following note to myself
before it could fade into the abysm: "I was taking a nap! It was a
weird dream about being in the library, part was me semi-lucid dreaming
about sleeping in the library, the other part was me typing up some
confession of admiration to a girl who turned out to be at the booth
next to me. Even in my dreams I embarrass myself! She looked different
in the dream though, but just the hair, which was yellowish instead of
reddish."
